The Parent Place was established in 1974, in Springfield, Illinois to teach local parents and professionals who work with children effective parenting skills.
We serve families with newborns, families in the midst of divorce/separation and families who want to enhance their parenting skills to become more effective parents.
Fees for services are based on a sliding fee scale for most services. Last year the parent place served over 7,000 parents in central Illinois while receiving exceptionally high evaluation ratings.
As a local not-for-profit agency we receive no financial support from a large national organization. Our agency is run on the generous support of our local community members and state agencies.
